The construction
A generously covered balcony complements the upper living space and creates free space for sheltered outdoor living. The special feature of Casa Muntaluna are the lower walls, which are placed at an angle to the outside. This type of construction was chosen so that the attic could be designed with a knee wall height of only 1.3 m - in favor of more free space. The horizontal forces generated by the inclined position of the walls are absorbed by tension bands. These are located in the balcony handrail, the gable wall and the inner transverse wall plates.
