The project
The assignment Due to the planned use, a division into two parts with one row of columns was achieved within the cubes. At the same time, the span was reduced from about 11.50 m to about 7.40 m. The roof elements were formed from 2 edge beams in BSH 140 / 440 and cross beams in between. The largest element measured around 4.00 x 11.50 m.
The construction method
The Timbatec office provided the foundation for the extremely fast and precise assembly with structural analysis, design and factory planning on CADWORK 3D and 2D. At the request of the contractor, all joints (including those in the upright frame timbers) were designed as dovetail joints. With modern joinery systems, the production does not represent any additional effort, but the assembly of the elements is faster and, above all, error-free.
