The project
In the upper, rear part of the property
The kiosk and toilet building is connected to the residential building. With the replacement building, the residential building will be freed, and the kiosk will be created as a separate building. The serving and return area of the new kiosk also faces the pool and has a generously covered seating area. The enclosed area houses the kitchen, dishwashing station, refrigeration units and restroom.
Deliveries are made to the rear of the kiosk via two access points.
Technical and disposal rooms are located behind the refrigeration cells.
The construction
The floor foundation slab is inserted as a reinforced concrete flat slab flush with the surrounding area as far as possible in height. The wall and column construction are made of cross laminated timber panels and as glulam columns.
Also made of glulam, the primary beams are supported over the wall panel and columns.
Intermediate beams between the primary beams are made of glulam. The roof boarding is made of a three-layer board. Thus, the whole construction is visible from the outside as well as from the inside.
The challenge
The challenge was to keep the construction as simple as possible, broken down into linear and slab components. The construction method required a small ground clearance, with a focus on rainproofing and weather protection.
