The project
The construction project consists of a new replacement building and a subsequent event part. The barn is planned as a wooden construction except for the concrete foundation. The terrain level is used for animal housing. The two intermediate floors arranged above the stables are used to store straw and hay. The hay storage will be equipped with an under-ventilation system. In addition, a hay crane is located in the barn. Outside the barn, an office space is located on one side and a floor for storing hay bales is suspended from the trusses on the other. This suspended hay floor on the outside of the barn to the trusses had to be carefully designed. The barn also had to be able to handle the demands of a hay crane.

The construction method
The new event building is built up to the 1st floor in solid construction. The building has a staircase and an elevator shaft, which were concreted up to the roof space. The floor slab on the 1st floor and the roof are built as a truss structure in timber construction. The beams of the floor slabs are suspended from the trusses with wooden posts. The event building is equipped with direct access to the office space. The external staircase is protected from the weather by two wooden adhesive roofs placed one above the other. The suspended floor slabs in the event building required special attention.
